I’m Erin, owner of Two Suns Flower Farm. The flowers are my passion, and I love every one of them. I like to say I am growing humans alongside my flowers, which is why we use sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. I have always loved flowers, but it’s my kids that got me really into nature and the environment. After leaving my job to be a full time mom, I got deep into “garden therapy”. And from there, the mission of how I could get that joy to anyone and everyone began!
We are striving to give you that same joy from flowers. We want to give you the best quality flowers around, while also using the best methods we can to improve the environment. Buying locally grown is already a step towards helping the environment! But we also focus on sustainable farming and we do not use pesticides or any other harsh chemicals. After all, our kids are growing here too!
Our two sons/suns (Get it?) are a big part of the farm. The flowers are growing around them, with them, for them, and by them. The flower farm is at our home within our little 1-acre lot. The boys explore and play among the flowers. And they learn even more about nature from the ecosystem we are expanding each year here at their home. They each have their favorite blooms, jobs, and parts of the gardens. And they are the reason we work harder instead of easier. We don't just want to create a product to sell. We want to create a better Earth for them. A better community. A better world.
Some of the most important jobs on the farm are done by my husband, Jeremy. I have the vision and he has the tools. He takes all my wild ideas and makes them a reality. He is also an arborist so he’s a walking book of pest and disease identification. And that information is INVALUABLE when growing flowers let me tell you!
But in the "important jobs" list is the one he's best at, supporting me. When I doubt, he encourages. When I say "I can't", he says "of course you can". I never would have started this without his push of enthusiasm. He's there to walk the rows with me every night and listen intently when I carry on about the details of each bloom. Flowers may not make his "passion" list, but he gets almost as excited as I am about them. Or at least kindly pretends to.
